Taycan 4S, Turbo and Turbo S models, the newest models of the E-Performance series, were offered for sale at Porsche’s authorized dealers in Istanbul, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya and Mersin with the assurance of Dogus Automotive.
Selim Eskinazi, the Director of Sales and Marketing of Porsche Turkey stated that Porsche parted a new page in the history of Turkey with the launch of Taycan and he conveyed that more than 50 percent of Porsche models delivered since 2025 will be electrified in parallel with Porsche AG’s strategy on electromobility. Eskinazi said:
‘’Accordingly, our preparations continue at full speed for the Porsche Taycan charging stations to be installed at all our authorized dealers and services, as well as at various social interaction points. It is very important for us that Taycan users can easily access the charging service, therefore we are the first car brand in Turkey to create its own charging network. We, as Porsche Turkey, plan to activate 120 Porsche charging stations with an investment of approximately 6.7 million TL by the end of 2020. We are planning to establish Turkey’s fastest charging station at our Dogus Auto Kartal location at the beginning of 2021.‘’
All preparation for Taycan are completed
Porsche Turkey started preparations for electromobility 2 years ago, and focuses on Destination Charging, Dealer Charging and Home Charging areas. According to researchers conducted globally, it has been observed that electric vehicle users charge their vehicles at home with a statistical rate of 80 percent, and the installation processes of charging stations have been designed for Taycan users’ homes.
All employees at Porsche centres are entitled to receive global certificates due to taking special training and expertise in both in Turkey and abroad.
The workshops and workshop equipment have been changed exclusively for Taycan, and all preparations for the new period have been completed.
