Turkiye: The highest 6-month exports in the textile and raw material sector

Turkey’s textile and raw materials sector realized exports of $6.8 billion in the 6 months of the year.

Turkiye Exporters Assembly (TIM) Deputy Chairman and Textile and Raw Materials Sector Board Chairman Fikret Kileci stated in his written statement that the highest June figure was reached with exports of $1.22 billion throughout the country in June.

Emphasizing that the $6.8 billion export made in the January-June period this year is the highest 6-month export, Kileci said:

“Although some difficulties in the supply of raw materials, fluctuations in prices and ups and downs in the markets sometimes challenge our exporters, we observe that our industry is growing with a great momentum. The 10% increase in our sector exports in the first 6 months of 2022 proves this. I am of the opinion that the current problems are also temporary and will be overcome in a short time by making cooperation and information sharing more intensive.”

Kileci noted that they will work to make the textile industry stand out in fashion and design.
