CBRT: Balance of payments data has been released

While Turkiye’s current account had a deficit of $8 billion 783 million in February, there was a surplus of $834 million in the current account excluding gold and energy.

According to the balance of payments data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkiye (CBRT), the current account deficit was $8 billion 783 million in February 2023.

Foreign trade deficit defined in the balance of payments was $10 billion 401 million in February. In this period, inflows from services balance amounted to $2 billion 334 million, and net income from travel item was $1 billion 652 million.

The primary income balance item recorded a net outflow of $815 million in February, while the secondary income balance item recorded a net inflow of $99 million.
