Jewellery Exporters Union of Turkey released the export numbers of June. According to that, 354 million dollars worth jewellery export was made in June; there is 60 percent increase in jewellery export compared to June 2019.
It is recorded that the total jewellery export of the first half of 2020 is decreased by 2,4 percent compared to the first half of 2019 and valued at 1,6 billion dollars.
According to the statement of Jewellery Exporters Union of Turkey, the biggest share of the total export happened in the first half of 2020 is ‘’Manufactured or Semi-Manufactured Gold’’ which is also known as ‘’bar gold’’. There has been 74 percent increase in bar gold export while 44 percent of decrease has been seen in other gold, diamond and silver product groups.
Based on a comparison with June 2019, jewellery industry also became the second industry that has most increment in June 2020 export .
