Turkey is starting 2 important projects this month

Turkey, which has invested ₺910 billion in transportation and communication in the last 18 years, is starting two important projects this month. Turksat 5A satellite will be put into service, the foundation of the first bridge will be laid within the scope of Kanal Istanbul.

Since May 2013, when it achieved the greatest successes in its history in the economy, Turkey, which has been trying to bring it to its knees with many operations, from foreign exchange attacks to coup attempts, continues on its way without deviating from its course. In Turkey, which has implemented many transportation and infrastructure projects in the last 10 years, from Marmaray to Eurasia Tunnel, from Istanbul Airport to Osmangazi Bridge, two important projects will bring excitement this month.

5A STARTS TO SERVE

Turksat 5A satellite, which was placed in orbit on May 3, will be put into service. Turksat 5A satellite was successfully launched into space on 8 January from Cape Canaveral Base in Florida, USA. The satellite reached 31 degrees east orbit, where it will serve, on May 3. After testing for about a month, Turksat 5A is expected to start operating this month. Turksat 5A, which will serve in the fields of TV broadcasting and communication for more than 30 years thanks to its electric propulsion system, will carry Turkey to the league of the leading countries in the world using the new “Ku-Band” in data communication service through television broadcasting.

PROJECT OF THE CENTURY IS STARTING

Within the scope of the Kanal Istanbul Project announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2011, 6 bridges will be built. The foundation of the first of the bridges will be laid at the end of June. The cost of the 6 bridges to be built within the scope of the Kanal Istanbul Project, which will cost $15 billion, will be $1.4 billion. During the construction of the canal, around which two cities will be built, employment will be provided to 500 thousand people. In the project prepared with nearly 200 scientists, no green areas will be damaged.

₺910 BILLION INVESTMENT IN 18 YEARS

Adil Karaismailoglu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that many projects of Turkey are at the top among the mega projects realized in the last 10 years in the world, including the 1915 Canakkale Bridge, which is under construction, and many airports, as well as very important projects such as Marmaray, Eurasia Tunnel, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, Istanbul Airport, Ankara-Istanbul High-Speed ​​Train, Ankara-Konya High-Speed ​​Train, Northern Marmara Highway, Komurhan Bridge, Ankara-Nigde Smart Highway, Camlica Tower and 5A. Karaismailoglu said, “In this context, we have invested ₺910 billion in the transportation and communication infrastructure of our country in the last 18 years and have produced very important works.”

INSURERS ARE EXCITINGLY WAITING

Atilla Benli, President of the Insurance Association of Turkey (TSB), stated that the Turkish insurance sector provides coverage to the country’s mega projects and said, “In this sense, we undertake a vital function within the finance sector and we are proud of it.” Stating that the sector has the power and capacity for all the giant projects that the government or private sector has done or will do in the new period, Benli said, “We, too, are waiting for our task with great excitement and enthusiasm.”
