Oil imports increased by 0.31% in September

Turkiye’s total imports of oil and petroleum products increased by 0.31% in September compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 4 million 362 thousand 4 tons.

According to the “Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for September, imports of crude oil, which constitutes the largest item in Turkiye’s total oil imports, decreased by 0.76% and reached 2 million 961 thousand 661 tons.

During this period, imports of diesel types increased by 11.7%, reaching 1 million 11 thousand 609 tons.

The remaining part of imports consisted of aviation and maritime fuels, gasoline and fuel oil types and other products.

Thus, total imports increased by 0.31% in September compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4 million 362 thousand 4 tons.

While the highest import of crude oil and petroleum products was from Russia with 1 million 815 thousand 282 tons, this country was followed by Iraq with 1 million 140 thousand 87 tons and Kazakhstan with 745 thousand 236 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased by 25.8% and reached 386 thousand 287 tons in September compared to the same month of the previous year, and diesel sales increased by 3.99% and reached 2 million 276 thousand 329 tons.

Total sales of petroleum products increased by 6.50% and were recorded as 2 million 813 thousand 597 tons.

Exports of petroleum products increased by 0.58%

While Turkiye’s aviation fuel exports increased by 38% in September, reaching 524 thousand 380 tons, maritime fuel exports decreased by 8.48% and reached 137 thousand 348 tons.

Exports of gasoline types increased by 50.7% to 190 thousand 91 tons, and exports of diesel types decreased by 43.1% to 133 thousand 533 tons.

Total exports of other products in the oil market increased by 0.58% to 1 million 212 thousand 617 tons.

In September, the production of diesel types decreased by 6.9% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 1 million 310 thousand 976 tons, the production of gasoline types increased by 5.40%, reaching 486 thousand 119 tons, and the production of aviation fuels increased by 23.5%, reaching 558 thousand 203 tons. Marine fuels production decreased by 29.7% and was calculated as 93 thousand 956 tons.

Total refinery production of petroleum products with other fuel types increased by approximately 0.29%, reaching 3 million 278 thousand 548 tons.
