Automobile and light commercial vehicle sales in Turkey last April increased by 132.4% compared to April of last year, reaching 61 thousand 488 units.
According to the Automotive Distributors Association (ODD) data, in April 2021, automobile sales increased by 121.6% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 48,375 units, while the light commercial vehicle market increased by 183.1% to 13,113.
Passenger car and light commercial vehicle market decreased 5.2% compared to the average 10-year April sales. The automobile market decreased by 2.2% compared to the average 10-year April sales. The light commercial vehicle market decreased by 14.9% compared to the average 10-year April sales.
72% INCREASE IN JANUARY-APRIL PERIOD
Turkey’s automobile and light commercial vehicle total market increased by 72.4% in the January-April period of 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 260,148 units.
Automobile sales increased by 68.7% in the January-April period of 2021 compared to the previous year and reached 204,839 units, while the light commercial vehicle market increased by 88.1% and reached 55,309 units.
