Turkish Surveillance and Bomb Disposal Robots Unveiled in the USA at XPONENTIA 2024

Surveillance and bomb disposal robots developed within the Turkish defense industry were introduced at the XPONENTIA 2024 fair held in San Diego, United States.

Electroland Defense, which designed and produced Turkiye’s first bomb disposal robot and ended foreign dependency in this field, exhibited its Disposable Mini Reconnaissance and Surveillance Robot ACROB and TMR-I Khan Bomb Disposal Robot at the fair at the San Diego Convention Center.

ACROB serves effectively in different forces and units of the Turkish Armed Forces. ACROB, which is the product that provides the company with the highest export revenue, is used by the armies of various countries.

TMR-I KHAN Bomb Disposal Robot was positioned as an export product in its own class. The versions of KHAN produced for Turkish security units are successfully operating within the Turkish Armed Forces, gendarmerie and police units.

At the fair, Unmanned Ground Vehicles BOGAC and HANCER and other bomb disposal robots of the company are introduced through the catalogue.

In his evaluation on the subject, Electroland Defense General Manager Ferhat Ugur stated that they were pleased with the visitor interest in the fair and that they were working to achieve new export successes.

Pointing out that the vehicles in the inventory have been operating successfully for a long time, Ugur gave the following information:

“In addition, we delivered our Medium Class Unmanned Ground Vehicle, Hancer, to the Turkish Armed Forces. HANCER is currently in use. Another Medium Class Unmanned Ground Vehicle, which has become a legend even though it has not yet entered the inventory; we signed the contract with the Ministry of National Defense and the Presidency of Defense Industries. We will deliver BOGAC soon. We develop these products together with our security forces, in light of their feedback and in line with their needs. We have a new unmanned ground vehicle design, BOZKURT. It will contain the experiences we have gained so far. As we deliver these products to Turkish security units, the operation/combat concepts will change, just as the concept of UAVs changes.”

Stating that they are assertive in exports and deliver their products to many friendly/allied countries, Ugur said:

“The number of countries we export to has reached 16. We aim to increase this number first to 20, then to 50 and 100. This requires promotion. We participate in most of the fairs both at home and abroad. Here, we physically introduce the two products that we are very assertive about exporting, and our other products through the catalogue. Those who visit our stand show great interest in our products. ACROB is currently the product from which we generate the most export revenue. Those who see it first sympathize with its shape, and then this interest increases when they learn about its abilities. This interest increases exponentially when you hear that he served in the Turkish Armed Forces and in different world armies. Our biggest reference is that one of the most active and powerful armies in the world, such as the Turkish Armed Forces, prefers our products. This opens the way for us and we are very proud to have such an army and to be able to respond to the operational needs of such an army within the scope of our own expertise.”
