The Official Advertisement Price Tariff proposed by the Press Advertisement Agency for internet news sites that will start to publish official advertisements as of April 1, has been approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to the statement made by the Press Advertisement Agency (BIK), the Presidential Decision regarding the adoption of the Official Announcement Price Tariff, which includes the regulations regarding the publication of official advertisements on internet news sites, as well as partial changes in the typesetting-organization principles of the newspapers, was published in the Official Gazette dated 16 February 2023 and numbered 32106.
According to the new Official Announcement Price Tariff approved by the President, the publication fee of official advertisements on internet news sites will be calculated on the basis of 1 box, 1 cm long and 4 cm wide. The daily publication fee of the official advertisements in 1 box area will be charged as ₺70, excluding VAT, for the quota places determined according to the provinces. The publication fee for the announcements in the general category will be calculated from ₺100 excluding VAT.
With the President’s Decision, the advertisements to be published on the internet news sites will be invoiced at the same unit price as the advertisements to be published in the newspapers.
According to the decision, official advertisements will be published in the “Arial” font on the internet as well as in newspapers, and 9 fonts will be used on internet news sites in the general category, and 10 point text letters will be used on other sites. In the 5 cm part of the official announcements, at least 12 lines of text should be used in the use of 10-point text letters, and at least 14-line in the use of 9-point letters. Ad titles will be published in 16 points in all categories.
With the New Official Announcement Price Tariff, the title fonts of the official advertisements to be published in the newspapers were also changed. According to this, the titles of official advertisements over 200 column-inches cannot exceed 20 points, those between 100 and 200 column-inches cannot exceed 18 points, those between 50 and 100 column-inches cannot exceed 16 points, and those below 50 column-inches cannot exceed 14 points.
The tariff will come into effect from April 1.
