Istanbul Airport is the first in Europe with its daily flight average

According to the flight report of the European Air Navigation Safety Organization covering the 3-9 November period, Istanbul Airport ranked first among the busiest airports in Europe.

The European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) has published its flight report covering the period of 3-9 November.

In the statement made on the social media account of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM), it was reported that Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe with an average of 1232 daily flights between 3-9 November 2022.

In the statement, “Turkish Airlines has become the second among the airline companies with the highest number of flights, with an average of 1248 flights per day.”

According to the EUROCONTROL flight report, London Heathrow Airport ranked second with 1157 flights per day, after Istanbul Airport, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport ranked third with 1147 flights.
