World-renowned Austrian companies of the ski industry and managers of ski resorts in Turkey will meet at the Advantage Austria Winter Tourism Summit to be held in Erciyes.
Erciyes, which has become a winter sports and tourism center at international standards, continues to host different social, sportive, national and global events related to skiing and mountain sports. It will be organized in cooperation with Kayseri Erciyes A.S and Austrian Trade Office.
Advantage Austria Winter Tourism Summit will be held in Kayseri Erciyes between March 18-19. The Austria-Turkey Winter and Mountain Tourism Summit, where the managers of all ski resorts in Turkey and Austrian manufacturers will come together, will last for two days in Erciyes Ski Center.
At the summit, issues such as the impact of climate change on mountain tourism, winter and mountain tourism infrastructure, and financial support for tourism infrastructure projects in Turkey will be discussed.
Austrian suppliers will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one in Erciyes, the ski resorts all over Turkey. On the second day of the event, a ski race will be held among the guests attending the summit.
TURKISH AND AUSTRIAN REPRESENTATIVES WILL MEET
Making a statement about the organization to be held, Austrian Trade Undersecretary Georg Karabaczek said, “As it is known, Austria plays the role of the world leader and main exporter of the winter sports industry. We, as the Austrian Trade Office in Turkey, are proud to bring together the world-famous and reliable Austrian brands of the industry with approximately 60 representatives of Turkish ski resort authorities in Erciyes.”

Kayseri Erciyes Chairman of the Executive Board Dr. Murat Cahid Cingi said, “We are happy to hold this important summit in Erciyes, where mountain and winter tourism will be discussed together with the Austrian Embassy and Trade Office. As Erciyes, we have done a lot of work in the national and world market for the development of winter tourism in our country and we will continue to do so.
The development of cooperation opportunities in the ski industry is of great importance for the two countries. On this occasion, Austrian world-famous brands and winter tourism professionals will come together on our mountain and hold consultations, which will produce very useful outputs for our country. Within the scope of the Erciyes Master Plan, we have worked very intensively on infrastructure with Austrian producers, and now we are strengthening our relations by collaborating in the field of winter tourism. We are in constant consultation with the Undersecretary of Trade Georg Karabaczek in this direction. In the future, we will sign more important collaborations together.”
