“The 10-minute travel time between Tavsantepe and Sabiha Gokcen Airport is an indicator of how fast and effective transportation can be. In addition, the 42-minute travel time from Kadikoy to Fevzi Cakmak (Hospital) station and the 50-minute travel time from Kadikoy to Sabiha Gokcen Airport reveal how great a convenience this new transportation line of Istanbul is. This modern metro line, which emerged as a result of tunnel excavations and reinforced concrete manufacturing carried out within the scope of the project, is an important step that will shape the future of urban transportation.”

Minister Uraloglu reminded that the line was put into service on October 2, 2022, and emphasized that Istanbul’s air transportation infrastructure has been further strengthened with the metro line, which provides great convenience to local and international travelers.

According to the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, the 7.4 kilometer long line increases the comfort and speed of urban transportation to the highest level with its 4 important stations. Fevzi Cakmak (Hospital), Yayalar, Kurtkoy and Sabiha Gokcen Airport stations offer fast and safe transportation to passengers.
