Turk Telekom supports entrepreneurship with 1.2 million liras

Turk Telekom founded the technology oriented programme named PILOT in order to support the early stages of startups and turn their innovative ideas into businesses providing added value. According to the statement of Turk Telekom, 8 enterprises are now have been selected.

Turk Telekom will provide 8 technology oriented teams in different sectors with collaboration and 1.2 million liras fund.

Barıs Karakullukcu, the general principal manager of Turk Telekom Strategy, Planning and Digitals said that:

‘’Turk Telekom is a pioneer in enterprising and innovation via it’s investments on technology. 65 startups have been completed by PILOT. We have invested over 4 million liras on these startups in total. The enterprises that we supported provided 41 million liras of turnover and 350 employees last year. We are happy to contribute to the local economy. We have increased our investments greatly in recent period. We provide 150 thousand liras and a powerful mentor for every team; we want these startups to be globally successful.’’

PILOT is Turkey’s first startup acceleration programme founded by a private sector. 8 startup teams will be getting feedback from Turk Telekom mentor network for 12 weeks in order to operate their business ideas successfully; this mentor network is composed of sector professionals, successful entrepreneurs and investors. Enterprises will be presented with the powerful technology substructure of Turk Telekom, office space, cloud system and mobile communication support. Turk Telekom also will support these enterprises during and after the programme with the introduction of various channels. Within this system, they will improve their business ideas.
