Sochi-Turkiye ferry is going to be launched this year

The resumption of passenger ferry service between Sochi and Turkiye in 2023 will be an incentive for the development of not only tourism, but also small businesses, Yuri Vladimirov, general director of the commercial seaport, told RIA Novosti.

According to Vladimirov, the resort now needs a passenger ferry with a capacity of up to about two hundred people and forty cars to start ferry traffic.

“One part of the ferry is leisure and travel. The other part is business. In the first case, a man went to rest in his car. The second option involves the transportation of cars, including minibuses and buses, so people will be able to make the route in order to purchase goods, which is not bad within the framework of parallel imports. This will develop. The line will unwind very quickly, Vladimirov says.

Sochi has a large modern terminal that can accommodate an impressive number of cars, and checking vehicles there takes a minimum amount of time.Vladimirov noted that today the port is registering regular requests from Russians for a ferry from Sochi to Turkiye.
