Trend Micro: ‘2022 will be the year of combating cybercrime’

GLOBAL cybersecurity firm Trend Micro Incorporated, in its new report, predicts that with a comprehensive, proactive and cloud-first security approach, institutions will be more ready and stronger in tackling cyber threats in 2022. According to the report, research, foresight and automation, risk management and workforce security are the most critical elements for organizations.

Trend Micro announced that it blocked 40.9 billion cyberthreats, including email threats, malicious files, and malicious URLs, for its customers in the first half of 2021. This figure represents a 47% increase in the number of blocked threats compared to the same period last year. Trend Micro Turkey Country Manager Hasan Gultekin said, “The insights and detections we uncover in our research are widely used in the cybersecurity industry and make the value propositions of our products stronger. Our research teams also strengthen the threat intelligence from our areas of excellence.”
