With the measures taken within the scope of Safe Tourism, tourism activity began to be experienced in the Black Sea Region. Turkey’s success in vaccination has been a factor in mobility.
In terms of tourism, 261 tourists came to Trabzon on charter flights from Jordan’s capital Amman in the last two weeks. Tourists arriving in Trabzon were greeted with roses by TURSAB Regional President Volkan Kantarci and travel agency officials at the airport. It has been stated that tourism vitality will be created in the region, especially with the Carter planes landing at Trabzon Airport recently.
Making a statement to SABAH on the subject, TURSAB Regional President Volkan Kantarci said, “With the second direct flight from Amman to Trabzon, 147 tourists came, and last week, 114 tourists came. We expect these flights to increase towards the end of June. We have a high expectation that direct flight traffic to Trabzon will start not only from Jordan but also from many countries and cities of the Middle East, as in previous years.”
He said, “The number of vaccines administered in our country has exceeded 30 million as of today. There is a great interest of tourism professionals in our region for the Tourism Personnel Vaccination Program. While the cases are rapidly decreasing, the increase in the number of vaccines will make positive contributions to tourism mobility in the coming weeks.”
Kantarci said, “Before the pandemic, the interest in our region and the number of tourists we hosted were increasing every year. Our Eastern Black Sea Region will be a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists in the coming periods with its natural beauties, lush plateaus, mountains, streams, glacial lakes, the sea where we can see every shade of blue, and its historical and cultural richness.
Our travel agencies, vehicle fleets, hotels, restaurants, gift shops, Rent a Car companies, all our tradesmen have completed the necessary preparations for the season. We are ready as a region to host domestic and foreign tourists in the best way possible.”
Yahya Ozad, the chairman of the board of directors of one of the favorite hotels in the region, said, “We expect that the flights planned to be made to the region from countries such as Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain, which are planned to arrive in addition to the flights from Jordan, will also stimulate tourism in the region. With the measures taken within the scope of Safe Tourism, tourism activity began to be experienced in the Black Sea Region. Tourism vitality will be created in the region, especially with the carter planes landing at Trabzon Airport in the last period.”
Stating that the reservations and requests made in the region, where the summer period is expected to be intense, are promising, Ozad said that they aim to contribute to the promotion of the region and the country with the service they provide to the guests.
Yahya Ozad stated that they aim to ensure that both foreign and domestic guests spend their holidays safely with the measures they take within the scope of Safe Tourism, and that they do not compromise on this issue.
