New traffic insurance costs for 2024 have been announced. Insurance Information and Monitoring Center published the current table with the tariffs valid as of January 1.

The minimum amount of new traffic insurance was determined as ₺3 thousand 706 in Istanbul, ₺3 thousand 601 in Ankara and ₺3 thousand 496 in Izmir.
The highest amount was ₺22 thousand 236 in Istanbul
The highest traffic insurance amounts were ₺22 thousand 236 in Istanbul, ₺21 thousand 607 in Ankara and ₺20 thousand 978 in Izmir.
WHAT IS TRAFFIC INSURANCE?
Traffic insurance is the payment on your behalf of your liability against the other party’s vehicle, third party property or physical damage as a result of an accident you may experience, according to the guarantees and limits within the scope of your policy. This limit changes at the beginning of each year.
If they do not have traffic insurance in the vehicle, they are prohibited by law from driving. Vehicles found to be uninsured are fined.
