30 packaging companies, 20 of which are members of the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD), were included in the list of “Turkey’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises” announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO).
According to the statement made by ASD, the stable growth in the packaging industry, which realized an export of $5 billion 147 million last year, was also reflected in the list of “ISO Top 500 Industrial Enterprises”, which is accepted as a reference in economic circles.
ASD President Zeki Saribekir, whose views are included in the statement, stated that the sector continues to grow with the increase in exports despite the ongoing effects of the epidemic, and said:
“When we look at the annual change in the packaging industry, the number of our companies in the ISO top 500 increased from 28 to 30. 20 of these 30 companies are part of the association. Sales from the production of our 30 companies increased by 31.76%. As an industry, we will always continue to pursue our export-oriented work.”
As the packaging industry, we should aim to export more and more every day. We must work to export at least half of the packaging we produce in Turkey. As an association, we continue to work on this issue. We must continue our work at full speed to achieve our goals.”
