THY was awarded the sustainability award

Turkish Airlines was deemed worthy of the 2022 Sustainability Award by World Finance, one of the institutions of the international finance world.

Making a name for itself with its sustainability-focused activities, Turkish Airlines (THY) won the “2022- Sustainability Award” in the category of “Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline”.

THY drew attention with its modern and youngest aircraft fleet, fuel saving and emission reduction projects implemented within the scope of combating climate change, biofuel use, support for R&D projects in this regard, flexibility in the management of the pandemic process and strong financial performance.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat said, “As the airline that flies to the most countries in the world, we see sustainability as one of the most important focal points of our growth strategy. Our operation centers designed with the needs of the future in mind, our young and modern aircraft fleet, and our colleagues who are experts in their fields, become the keys in our growth journey by reducing our environmental impact.”

Stating that the steps taken within the framework of sustainable operations are deemed worthy of an award by World Finance, proves the accuracy of their strategy, Bolat said, “As the Turkish Airlines family, we will continue to focus on the future of our world.”
