THY starts Rize-Artvin airport flights

Turkish Airlines (THY) announced that it has decided to start scheduled flights to Rize-Artvin Airport. In the statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform by THY, it was said, “Our Incorporation’s Board of Directors has decided to launch scheduled flights to Rize-Artvin Airport, depending on opportunities and market conditions.”

After Ordu-Giresun Airport, Turkey’s second airport built with sea filling, Rize Artvin Airport, built-in international conventional size, will have a runway with a length of 3,000 meters and a width of 45 meters, 3 taxiways of 265 meters by 24 meters, 2 aprons of 120 meters by 300 meters, 120 meters by 120 meters.

Rize-Sunday airport will be opened on May 14 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
