The best-selling car brands in the Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market in October were Fiat, Renault and Toyota, respectively.
According to the data of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), automobile and light commercial vehicle sales last month increased by 55.4% compared to October 2022, reaching 101 thousand 367 units.
In October, automobile sales increased by 74.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 82 thousand 611, while the light commercial vehicle market grew by 5.5% and reached 18 thousand 756.
Last month, Fiat ranked first in total sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with 16 thousand 15 units. Fiat was followed by Renault with 13 thousand 626 units and Toyota with 6 thousand 871 sales.
Volkswagen ranked fourth with 5,549 sales and Ford ranked fifth with 5,162 sales.
Automobile sales
Considering automobile sales, the brand that sold the most in October was Renault with 12 thousand 192 units. It was followed by Fiat with 9 thousand 756 sales and Toyota with 5 thousand 953 sales.
While Chery ranked fourth with 4 thousand 517 sales, Volkswagen ranked fifth with 4 thousand 149 automobile sales.
Tesla’s October sales remained at 500 units
With the inclusion of Chinese HONGQI in the ODMD brand list, the total number of brands increased to 50. Last month, sales were made from all brands except Seres and Smart.
While Togg’s deliveries amounted to 3 thousand 567 units in October, it ranked 11th in the brand list. Tesla’s sales remained at 500 units and it ranked 25th in the sales rankings in October.
In the luxury car group, 68 Porsches, 46 Lexuses, 43 Maserati, 13 Jaguars, 4 Bentleys, 4 Ferraris, 1 Lamborghini and 1 Aston Martin were sold in October.
Top 5 of light commercial
Looking at the light commercial vehicle segment, Fiat was at the top of the list with 6 thousand 786 sales last month. Fiat was followed by Ford with 3 thousand 29 sales and Renault with 1434 sales.
Volkswagen was fourth with 1400 sales and Peugeot was fifth with 1345 sales.
