The trade volume of Antalya Free Zone exceeded $840 million in 2020

It was reported that the trade volume of Antalya Free Zone, one of the most important investment centers of the Mediterranean, exceeded $840 million in 2020, despite the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic process.

According to the statement made by Antalya Free Zone Founder and Operator Inc. (ASBAS), in the last year’s trade volume of the Antalya Free Zone, 83 companies operated and 55 of them were domestic. Industrial group products took the lead with $819 million.

ASBAS, which has commercial activities all over the world, continued to be one of the most important production centers in Turkey in 2020, from the yacht sector to the agricultural sector, from medical to metal and construction, from electrical electronics to textiles.

Antalya Free Zone, which did not cease production during the epidemic period, increased its annual trade volume by 8%. The trade volume, which was $777 million at the end of 2019, exceeded $840 million last year.

The region made the highest trade with OECD countries with $432 million, with Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and the USA taking the highest shares among these countries.

In addition, 2020 has been the year of investment for ASBAS. The yacht launching-towing system to be implemented with the Dock Infrastructure Project, which started this year, will be completed in June. The number of employees in the region, which was 5,91 at the end of 2019, increased to 5,351 at the end of 2020.
