After the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the inflation figures, the rent increase rate for December was also announced. The rent increase rate, which was determined based on the twelve-month average of inflation (CPI) figures, was 17.71% for December.

With the November inflation rate determined, the December rental increase rate is calculated as follows:

DECEMBER 2021 RENTAL INCREASE CALCULATION

  • Example Housing Rent: ₺1.000
  • Rent Increase Rate: 17.71%
  • December Rent Increase Amount: ₺177.1
  • Raised Rent Amount Including December Rent Increase Rate: ₺1,177.1

According to the figures announced, the rent increase to be paid by a tenant whose rent is ₺1000 in December was calculated as ₺177.1. Accordingly, the increased rent amount will be ₺1,177.1.

In November 2021, the inflation rate increased by 3.51% compared to the previous month, increased by 19.82% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 21.31% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 17.71% on the averages of twelve months.
