The most preferred brands in the second-hand online auto market have been announced via INDICATA

The most preferred automotive brands in the second-hand online market were Volkswagen (VW), Renault and Ford in September.

According to INDICATA second hand online market report, a total of 207 thousand 437 second-hand passenger cars and light commercial vehicle sold online in October.  (the sale numbers are calculated if the removed vehicle announcements are considered sold.)

October sales increased by 28 percent compared to October 2019 and 8 percent compared September. The share of passenger cars in total second-hand online sales was 83 percent, and the share of light commercial vehicles was 17 percent. Volkswagen became the most preferred automotive brand in the second-hand online passenger and light commercial vehicle market with 27 thousand 662 sales.

Renault ranked 2nd with 24 thousand 825 sales and Ford ranked 3rd with 20 thousand 259 sales. The 10 best-selling brands are respectively as Fiat with 19 thousand 402 sales, Opel with 11 thousand 907, Hyundai with 11 thousand 360, Peugeot with 11 thousand 52, BMW with 10 thousand 944, Mercedes-Benz with 10 thousand 12 and Toyota with 8 thousand 186 sales.

The October sales of these 10 brands accounted for 75 percent of the second-hand online car market. In addition, the brand that increased the number of sales the most was Peugeot with 32 percent increase.

Fiat was the fastest-selling brand in October

Sales speed of online Turkish market in October was 35 days on average. The fastest selling brand was Fiat with 30 days, and the slowest selling was Mercedes-Benz with 47 days.

Clio was at the top

Clio surpassed Passat to the top in the ranking of the best-selling passenger car models in the second-hand online October market.

The top 10 most preferred brands in October are respectively, Renault’s Clio model with 6966 sales, VW’s Passat model with 6 thousand 907 sales, Ford Focus with 6 thousand 64 sales, Renault Megane with 5 thousand 500 sales, Opel Astra with 4 thousand 978, Toyota Corolla with 4 thousand 810, Renault Fluence with 4 thousand 580, VW Polo with 4 thousand 39, VW Golf with 4 thousand 30 and Fiat Egea with 3 thousand 977.

Doblo was the most preferred in commercial vehicles

Fiat Doblo ranked first with 4015 sales in the light commercial vehicle’s category. The top ten best-selling commercial vehicles are respectively Fiat Fiorino with 3 thousand 687, Ford Transit / Tourneo Courier with 3 thousand 562, Ford Transit / Tourneo Connect with 2 thousand 667, VW Caddy with 2 thousand 116, VW Transporter with 2 thousand 104, Renault Kangoo with 1877, Ford Transit with 1681, Peugeot Partner with 1539 and Citroen Berlingo with 1262 sales.
