Zeynep Tandogan, General Manager of Hepsi Real Estate, said, “Prices in districts such as Rumeli Hisari, Visnezade and Resitpasa, which are preferred by Istanbul residents in this period because they want to be closer to the sea and nature, rose between 218 and 290% in a year.”

The neighborhood with the highest average square meter price increase in the housing category in the last 1 year in Istanbul was the Rumeli Hisari district of Sariyer with 290%.

Hepsi Real Estate announced 50 neighborhoods in Istanbul where rental prices have increased by more than 50% in the last 1 year.

According to the data obtained from the index, the highest increase in the average square meter price in the rental housing category in the last 1 year was observed in the Rumeli Hisari district of Sariyer with 290%. Rumeli Hisari was followed by Visnezade district of Besiktas with 238%, Resitpasa district of Sariyer with 218%, Gayrettepe district of Besiktas with 171% and Fikirtepe district of Kadikoy with 150%.

Zeynep Tandogan, General Manager of Hepsiemlak, whose views are included in the statement, evaluated the rental housing price increase in the prominent districts of Istanbul with the following statements:

“For about 1.5 years, we have experienced very rapid increases in rental house prices in certain regions. As we always say, the main reason for this was that we were closed to homes during the pandemic process. We analyzed our needs clearly and headed towards finding a more suitable living space for our new life. Some of us changed cities, some of us changed districts. At the beginning of the pandemic, this movement was more and gradually returned to its normal course. The activity in the market also caused high increases in rental prices. When we examined the districts with the highest increase, we did not encounter surprising results. Prices in districts such as Rumeli Hisari, Visnezade and Resitpasa, which are preferred by Istanbulites especially in this period because they want to be closer to the sea and nature, rose between 218 and 290% in a year. Another reason for the high increase especially in these regions was the fact that the supply was not very high in these old ossified districts. There will always be demand for these regions, which we can call the most popular districts of Istanbul, but of course, we do not expect them to continue at this rate. Apart from all these districts, when we look at the top 50 list, the central and relatively easy-to-reach districts of Istanbul always continue to attract attention with the price increase in rental housing.”
