Due to the snowfall in Istanbul, it was decided to reduce the flights to be made tomorrow by 15% at Sabiha Gokcen Airport.


Due to the snowfall in Istanbul, which has been effective since yesterday evening, some flights were canceled after the Sabiha Gokcen Airport Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM) restriction on the number of flights by 25%.

Depending on the snowfall that is expected to be effective for a week, it was decided to reduce flights by 15% in flights to be operated from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport on Sunday, January 23.

In the statement made after the MADKOM meeting it was said, “Due to the negative meteorological conditions expected throughout the country and at Sabiha Gokcen Airport, a 15% reduction will be made in Sabiha Gokcen Airport flights on 23.01.2022. It is recommended that all passengers follow the latest status of their flights on the websites and call centers of the relevant airlines.”
