Turkish Statistical Institute TUIK announced the inflation rate for August. After the statement made by TUIK, inflation data determines many rates such as rent increase and pension increase. After the announcement of the highly anticipated August inflation rate, the rent increase rate for September was also announced.

TUIK ANNOUNCED: RENT INCREASE RATE IN SEPTEMBER IS 15.78%

After the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the inflation figures, the rent increase rate for September was also announced. The rent increase rate, based on the twelve-month average of inflation (CPI) figures, was 15.78% for September.

With the inflation rate in August, the rent increase rate is calculated as follows:

Housing Rent: ₺1.000

Rent Increase Rate: 15.78%

Rent Increase Amount for September: ₺157.8

Increased Rent Amount Including September Rent Increase Rate: ₺1,157.8

According to the figures announced, the rent increase to be paid by a tenant whose rent is ₺1000 in September was calculated as ₺157.8. Accordingly, the increased rent amount will be ₺1,157.8.
