Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School awaits its students

Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, the first cyber security vocational high school in its field, is preparing to host successful students this year as well.

According to the statement made by Teknopark Istanbul, Turkey’s first Cyber Security Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School focuses on the development of the domestic cyber security ecosystem and closing the qualified manpower gap in the field of cyber security.

High school is expected to be among the important choices for students after the High School Entrance System (LGS) preference guide is announced.

Bilal Topcu, General Manager of Teknopark Istanbul, whose views were given in the statement, stated that cyber security has now become an area that the whole world focuses on meticulously, adding that the security of Turkey’s data is a matter of great importance.

Emphasizing that Turkey is currently strong in the field of cyber security and will be among the top countries in the world, Topcu said:

“However, our domestic technologies need to develop further and become exportable to the world. The shortage of qualified specialists in the sector is also increasing day by day. From this point of view, as Teknopark Istanbul, we are hosting Turkey’s first and only cyber security vocational high school. As every year, our students who have taken LGS exams will choose a high school. As Teknopark Istanbul, we are getting ready to host our successful students who are in the percentile at our high school. Our students will have the opportunity to receive quality education in many different branches of cyber security at our high school.

On the other hand, Teknopark Istanbul MTAL is a very productive high school for our students who grow up here, as it is together with companies working on cyber security. In the new term, we will continue to bring together our young people who prefer our high school, with our companies operating in Cube Incubation, the Incubation Center of Teknopark Istanbul, in many applications. We believe that with our vocational high school, we will contribute to the formation of a cyber security ecosystem equipped with domestic and national technologies in our country.’

Preferred by successful students

According to the information given, Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which started its activities in the Teknopark Istanbul campus in the 2020-2021 academic year, succeeded in being among the vocational high schools that accepted students from the 1% segment in the High School Entrance System (LGS) Exam in its first year.

In the last semester, 30 students with percentages ranging from 0.47 to 5.41 were accepted to the high school preferred by students who were successful in LGS.

Thus, Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School joined ASELSAN Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and Istanbul Technical University Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School among the most successful vocational high schools that accept students from the 1% segment.

Turkey’s first cyber security high school, Teknopark Istanbul MTAL, will accept students who want to specialize in cyber security during the preference period that will start on June 30.

Trains expert personnel for the cyber security ecosystem

Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which is the first cyber security high school in Turkey, aims to provide the development of the cyber security ecosystem with the quality of education with the experts it has trained.

Teknopark Istanbul Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which is preferred by successful students, provides training in information technologies, network management and cyber security branches in the technical program.

Teknopark Istanbul MTAL is part of Teknopark Istanbul, which is the R&D base of Turkey.

During the preference period, students are accepted according to their secondary education center placement exam LGS score and preferences.

MTAL, which has 30 students in its first year, offers a cybersecurity-focused education for 5 years, together with the English preparatory class.

A wide range of internship opportunities are offered to students who will study at the high school, which also has penetration testing, forensics, artificial intelligence and cyber practice laboratories, in companies that carry out cyber security activities, especially in Teknopark Istanbul.

In the high school, which is supported by the Presidency of Defense Industries, the Presidency of the Presidency of the Digital Transformation Office is expected to support the establishment of classroom workshops, vocational service support to teachers, training according to the competencies of current students, and career opportunities for graduates when the school construction is completed.

Students can receive training in private workshops in companies that are members of the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster, and they can make technical trips to information technology companies in order to discover the area they want to specialize in.
