Sakarya, one of the leading provinces in Turkiye’s automotive exports, reached the highest November and 11-month export figures in its history with its foreign sales.

According to the statement made by the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), according to the data announced by the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Sakarya, which exported $521 million 552 thousand in November, increased its foreign sales by 11.31% compared to the same period last year.

This figure was recorded as the highest November export record in Sakarya’s history.

Sakarya, which cumulatively exported $5 billion 160 million 383 thousand in the 11 months of the year, increased its foreign sales by 17% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Reaching the highest 11-month export figure in its history, Sakarya continued to contribute to the country’s economy with its automotive industry, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, chemicals and products, steel, machinery and parts sectors.

Evaluating the foreign trade figures, SATSO Chairman Akgun Altug stated that they continue to produce and export for the whole world.

Emphasizing that they closed November with two records, Altug said, “We achieved both the highest November export in our history and our highest cumulative export in 11 months. Currently, our exports are much further than the last record level in the first 11 months of 2018.”

Stating that they have received and will continue to receive rewards for the efforts made for the development of the city and the increase of exports, Altug said: “I would like to thank the entire Turkish business world, especially our Sakarya, which produces, adds value and strives to include qualified Turkish products in the world market. We will continue to look forward and be better than yesterday.”
