iyzico announced the shopping statistics for the 2023 Black Friday period
On Friday, November 24, transaction volume at iyzico member businesses increased by 70% compared to last year. The average basket amount increased by 75.6%, from ₺652 to ₺1145.
While the average basket amount of Pay with iyzico, a digital wallet, was ₺1072 last year, it increased to ₺2 thousand this year, an 86.3% increase compared to 2022.
On Black Friday, 61.3% of the transaction volume was carried out by women and 38.7% by men. It was determined that women use iyzico Pay 1.23 times more than men.
When we look at the categories of shopping according to gender distribution, women came to the fore with their shopping in the ready-made clothing, cosmetics and children&baby categories, respectively, while men came to the fore with their shopping in the computer, computer hardware&software, auto parts accessories and car rental categories.
