Minister: We aim to reach $110 billion in service exports by the end of the year

Minister Bolat mentioned that they organized the Service Export Strategy Conference in Sakarya with the participation of business people from the industry, as he shared on his social media account.

Highlighting that service exports have experienced rapid growth globally in recent years and play a vital role in the economies of countries in terms of the economic value they generate, Bolat drew attention to the fact that the sector, which is gaining importance in world trade, accounts for two-thirds of global GDP and 50% of employment.

Bolat indicated their determination to continue the same successes in 2024, saying, “We intend to maintain the same achievements in 2024. With this momentum, we aim to reach $110 billion in service exports by the end of the year and thus make another significant contribution to closing the current account deficit. I would like to express my gratitude to our Service Exporters Association (HİB) and its President Mr. Şekib Avdagiç, who have always been with us on our journey to achieve this goal. As the Ministry of Trade, we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities in every field to make our country one of the world’s largest economies and to increase the welfare of our citizens.”
