THY is last year’s export champion in the service sector

Turkish Airlines (THY) became last year’s export champion in the service sector with a revenue of $15 billion 769 million in 2022.

According to the statement made by the THY Press Office, the 30th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) and the Export Champions Award Ceremony was held yesterday with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

THY was deemed worthy of the “Export Champion” award with its exports of $15 billion 769 million in 2022; THY Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, received the award from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat used the following expressions in his speech at the ceremony:

“As Turkiye’s flag carrier, we carry great pride and responsibility on our wings as we fly our flag in the sky. With this responsibility, we work for our country to reach its future goals as quickly as possible and increase our contribution to our economy every year.

As a global carrier, we completed 2022 with a performance that our industry envy. We are happy to receive the award for this achievement today. We will continue to spread wings, rise and contribute to this vision towards the goal of ‘becoming one of the top five airlines in the world’ pointed out by our Honorable President.”

Continuing its rise in the global aviation sector without slowing down and making a significant contribution to the Turkish economy, THY increased its service exports, which was $9 billion 385 million in 2021, to $15 billion 769 million in 2022 by increasing 70%.
