In the January-May 2023 period, the number of foreign visitors to Turkiye increased by 23.65% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the ranking of the countries that sent the most visitors to Turkiye in the first 5 months of the year, the Russian Federation ranked first with an increase of 110.12%, Germany became the second with an increase of 20.75%, and Bulgaria became the third with an increase of 11.64% compared to the same period of the previous year. These countries were followed by England (United Kingdom) and Iran.
4 million 500 thousand 242 foreign visitors came in May
The number of foreign visitors to Turkiye in May increased by 16.19% compared to the same month of the previous year and became 4 million 500 thousand 242.
In the ranking of the countries sending the most visitors in May, the Russian Federation ranked first with an increase of 76.55% compared to the same month of the previous year, Germany took the second place with an increase of 24.04%, and England (United Kingdom) took the third place with an increase of 12.07%. Bulgaria and Iran followed the ranking.
