Turkiye Cow Milk Quantity in 4.7% Yearly Increase

The Turkish Statistical Institute has disclosed data regarding milk and dairy product production for the month of January, revealing a notable increase in the quantity of collected cow milk compared to the same period last year.

According to the statistics, the quantity of collected cow milk surged by 4.7% on a yearly basis in January, reaching 915,522 tons.

During the same period, the production of drinking milk by commercial dairy establishments increased by 6%, totaling 153,796 tons.

Similarly, yogurt production by commercial dairy establishments saw a 9.2% rise, reaching 99,815 tons.

Over the same period, the quantity of cow cheese increased by 12.3% yearly, reaching 71,388 tons, while ayran production witnessed a 13.2% increase, totaling 69,511 tons, and butter production surged by 20% to reach 9,209 tons.

In January, the quantity of cow milk collected by commercial dairy establishments, which was 874,193 tons in December 2023, increased by 4.7% to reach 915,522 tons.

During the same period, the production of drinking milk, which was 147,346 tons, increased by 4.4% to reach 153,796 tons.
