88 thousand 306 houses were sold across Turkey

According to the data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, house sales in Turkey increased by 25.1% in January compared to the same month of the previous year and became 88,306.

The Turkish Statistical Institute announced the Housing Sales statistics according to Turkey and Provinces. In the statement made, Istanbul had the highest share in housing sales with 15 thousand 110 housing sales and 17.1%. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 8 thousand 255 house sales and 9.3% share, and Izmir with 5 thousand 486 house sales and 6.2% share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan with 18 houses, Hakkari with 31 houses and Bayburt with 44 houses, respectively.

6,113 HOUSES SOLD IN EASTERN MARMARA

According to the data announced by the Kocaeli Regional Directorate of the Turkish Statistical Institute, In the provinces of the Eastern Marmara Region, house sales were realized in January 2022, 2 thousand 801 houses in Kocaeli, 1,514 houses in Sakarya, 460 houses in Duzce, 458 houses in Bolu and 880 houses in Yalova.

4,186 HOUSES SOLD TO FOREIGNERS

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 56.5% in January compared to the same month of the previous year and became 4 thousand 186. In January, the share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 4.7%. In the housing sales to foreigners, Istanbul took the first place with the sales of 1,771 houses. Antalya was followed by Antalya with 914 house sales, Ankara with 269 house sales, Yalova with 117 house sales, and Sakarya with 107 house sales, respectively. In January, Iranian citizens bought 761 houses from Turkey. The citizens of Iran were followed by the citizens of Iraq with 513 residences and the citizens of the Russian Federation with 479 residences, respectively.
