Turkish Petroleum Joint Stock Partnership (TPAO) received a 5-year oil exploration license for 18 fields in various provinces.
The decision of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources regarding oil rights was published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, TPAO was granted oil exploration licenses for a total of 18 fields in Gaziantep, Antalya, Canakkale, Sanliurfa, Zonguldak, Diyarbakir, Hakkari, Bartin, Karabuk, Kastamonu, Elazig, Edirne, Kahramanmaras and Kilis.
In addition, it was decided to expropriate TPAO’s fields in Diyarbakir, Batman, Siirt, Tekirdag and Kirklareli.
