Fast entry to 2022 from the Turkish air conditioning industry: Exports increased by 17.3%

The Turkish air conditioning industry entered the new year with an export of $458 million. According to the information compiled from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey’s exports in January saw $17.6 billion, making it the highest January export figure. The sector, which exports to 167 countries, is in the first place in the country to which the sector exports the most, with $52 million.

The Turkish air conditioning industry made a rapid entry into 2022 and achieved an export of $458 million last month.

According to the information compiled by AA correspondent from the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Turkey’s exports in January increased by 17.3% compared to the same month of the previous year and reached $17.6 billion. The said figure was recorded as Turkey’s highest January export figure.

The air-conditioning sector, in which Turkey is strong in production, realized an export of $458 million 580 thousand in January with an increase of 14.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the first month of this year, the air conditioning industry exported to 167 countries around the world.

EUROPEAN COUNTRIES RANK FIRST IN EXPORT

The European Union (EU) countries took the lead with $221 million in the country groups to which the sector made the most exports last month. This group of countries was followed by the Commonwealth of Independent States with $50 million, the Middle East countries with $49 million, other European countries with $44 million and African countries with $43 million.

The country to which the sector exported the most last month was Germany with $52 million. Germany was followed by the United Kingdom with $30 million, Italy with $29 million, France with $21 million and Romania with $17 million. Other countries with the highest exports were Spain, Iraq, Poland, Russia and Egypt, respectively.

ISTANBUL IS AT THE TOP OF PRODUCTION

Last month, the most foreign sales in air conditioning products were made from Istanbul, Manisa, Kocaeli, Izmir and Bursa, respectively.

Istanbul continued to be the production center of the sector with exports of $176 million in January 2022. Air-conditioning products exported $54 million from Manisa, $47 million from Kocaeli, $36 million from Izmir and $30 million from Bursa.

Turkish air conditioning industry closed last year with an export of $6 billion 196 million, an increase of 33% compared to 2020.
