Trendyol will make 300 thousand SMEs exporters

Trendyol, which has set an export target of $10 billion in 2026, will open 300 thousand SMEs and hundreds of thousands of individual sellers to the world market through the platform with an investment of $5 billion. Trendyol aims to reach an e-export volume of $2 billion in 2024.

E-commerce platform Trendyol will continue its e-export attack with Romania, Greece, Hungary and the Czech Republic, following Germany and Azerbaijan. Trendyol Group CEO Erdem Inan said, “We will expand to the Eastern European market as of the first quarter of 2024. Our goal is to become the leading e-commerce company in the region, including Europe, the Middle East and the Gulf Countries, and to enable more than 300 thousand domestic producers and tradesmen to sell to this region. Then we will enter the markets of Poland, Slovakia and Bulgaria.”

Clothing and home life come first

According to the news of Fikret Cengel from Dunya newspaper, Inan, who met with journalists at the innovation event ‘InMerge Innovation Summit’ held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, said that they reached 1.3 million customers and 6.3 million orders in the Azerbaijani market. Inan said, “22 thousand of our sellers exported to Azerbaijan in November.

“17 thousand of them exported for the first time,” he said. Stating that they aim to complete all their foreign operations with 3 million customers and 12 million orders in 2023, Inan said, “Since the beginning of 2022, we have mediated the export of more than 51 thousand of our sellers. 42 thousand of these sellers exported for the first time. 7 thousand of our exporting sellers are from the earthquake zone. Our goal is to enable at least 35 thousand sellers in our 11 provinces affected by the earthquake to export.”

$5 BILLION INVESTMENT PLAN

Stating that they aim to reach an e-export volume of $2 billion next year and $10 billion in the next three years through our sellers, Inan said, “We will invest $5 billion towards this goal. By the end of this year, we will enable more than 60 thousand of our sellers to sell to the Gulf countries with a single click. We aim to deliver 13 million products to 4.5 million customers in the region in 2024.”
