An Official Statement Has Not Come From Getir Yet

Thus, it went beyond the borders of Turkiye and started to serve in some European countries. However, according to recent developments, it has been claimed that the company is preparing to take an important step.
Will the company, which laid off hundreds of employees last year, downsize once again? Accordingly, it was claimed that Getir plans to sell FreshDirect, which it acquired in December 2023, and BiTaksi services serving in Turkiye. We should point out that there is no official statement from the company regarding this issue yet. Therefore, downsizing is just a rumor for now.
According to a report written by Mark Kleinman, one of the editors of Sky News, one of the leading media organizations in the UK, Getir is preparing to divest various operations within its structure by drawing a new road map to become profitable.
In the same news, it was also claimed that Mubadala, which is among the minority shareholders of Getir, is insistent on the sale move and that AlixPartners will provide consultancy to Getir in the restructuring processes. It was also stated that negotiations were held with AlixPartners for the entire sale and restructuring operations, although this is not yet certain.
