Minister of Commerce Bolat met with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Yumakli

The meeting focused on strategic steps to be taken to increase the competitiveness of the food and agriculture sector and strengthen the presence of products in world markets.

Minister of Commerce Omer Bolat and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli met at the Ministry of Commerce.

Bolat, in his post on the social media platform, stated that he was pleased to host Minister Yumakli.

Minister Bolat stated that during the meeting, they discussed the strategic steps to be taken to increase the competitiveness of the food and agriculture sector and strengthen the presence of the products in the world markets, and stated that they focused on the production and consumption amounts of food products and price developments.

Bolat said:

“We shared our mutual views on increasing the quality and efficiency in our country’s agricultural production, increasing our commercial efficiency to a much higher level in line with our export data in this field, and balancing food prices. We are determined to take steps to further strengthen the cooperation between the two ministries.”

Minister Yumakli also stated in his post that during the visit, they made evaluations on production, consumption and export issues related to the agricultural sector.

Underlining that they will continue to take steps in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce in all processes of the journey of the products that producers turn into abundance with their labor, from the field to the shelves, Yumakli said, “I would like to thank our esteemed Minister for his kind hospitality and wish him ease in his work towards our Turkiye’s Century goals.”
