Sustainable resource of €200 million to Vakifbank

Vakifbank, the Turkish bank with the highest amount of sustainability-themed resources in its balance sheet, provided a new sustainability-themed resource from abroad in the amount of €200 million with a maturity of 4 years. The Bank’s General Manager, Abdi Serdar Ustunsalih, said, “This transaction, which we have carried out despite the fluctuations in the financial markets, once again confirms the trust placed in our bank, especially in our national economy, and in the Turkish banking sector.” Stating that they are the bank that issues the most sustainable eurobonds, Ustunsalih said, “With this transaction under the theme of sustainability, we have committed to reducing our carbon emissions, keeping our female employee ratio at a high level and participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project Water Program. In this way, we succeeded in reducing the cost of the resource we obtained even further.”
