A new and important feature is being added to WhatsApp’s popular Channels tab.
WhatsApp has managed to win the appreciation of users with the new features it has brought to the application recently, and now another very useful and important feature is coming for Channels, one of the last features of the application.
With the WhatsApp for Android beta 2.24.4.17 update, it was announced that WhatsApp has introduced the ability to disable reactions in Channels. With this feature, channel owners can maintain a more text-based communication environment on their channels, ensuring that discussions always stay on topic and free of unnecessary distractions.
After installing the latest WhatsApp beta 24.4.10.74 update for iOS in the TestFlight app, it was discovered that WhatsApp is now offering some beta testers the ability to disable channel reactions, just like on Android.
As you can see in the attached screenshot,some beta testers on the iOS app can now try disabling channel reactions in their channels.
After this new feature, which will be available on all platforms once the necessary tests are completed, reactions will always be enabled by default for all channels. Channel owners will be able to enable and disable reactions as they wish after the update.
