Enerjisa Manufacturing signed an agreement with German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon for the prototype installation of a new terrestrial turbine model in the field of wind energy.

Enerjisa Manufacturing signed an agreement with German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon for the prototype installation of a new terrestrial turbine model in the field of wind energy.

According to the statement made by the company, Enerjisa Manufacturing, which continues its wind energy investments, which is of strategic importance in terms of Turkiye’s domestic and renewable energy targets, has signed a new agreement with Enercon.

The E-175 EP5 model turbine, developed by Enercon and which is among the turbines with the largest rotor diameter in the world with 175 meters, will be installed and tested at the designated sites of Enerjisa Manufacturing in Turkiye with its 6 megawatts and expandable capacity. Thus, Enercon will continue its test work abroad for the newly developed turbines in Turkiye for the first time.

New turbines will be installed in Balikesir and Bandirma

The new model turbines to be produced as prototypes will be installed at Enerjisa Manufacturing’s Bandirma Energy Base and Balıkesir Wind Power Plant. The turbines will be tested at Enerjisa Generation plants before they go on sale commercially.

Ihsan Erbil Baycol, the Chief Executive of Enerjisa Production, whose views were included in the statement, stated that Turkiye should increase its renewable energy investments and said, “As Enerjisa Manufacturing, we continue to rapidly implement our wind and solar investments in order to use our country’s strong potential in renewable energy. Although we are in a leading position in the sector in investment and production, we are ready to take responsibility and give all kinds of support for the development of the sector. With this cooperation that will benefit the entire ecosystem, we aim to contribute to both the development of technology and the development of human resources in our sector in terms of sustainability.’
