The Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia decided to discuss cooperation and partnership projects with countries including China, France, Uzbekistan and Turkiye.

According to the Saudi Arabian official news agency (SPA), the Cabinet meeting in Jeddah under the chairmanship of King Salman bin Abdulaziz decided to discuss with the Chinese side a draft protocol to complement the agreement on the creation of a high-level joint committee.

The Cabinet also decided to discuss the draft memorandum of understanding between Turkiye and the governments of the two countries for cooperation in the field of social services.

Among the decisions taken by the Saudi cabinet was a plan to negotiate with the French government on a draft memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a Strategic Partnership Council.

The decision to negotiate with the Uzbek side on a draft framework agreement for cooperation on the peaceful use of atomic energy was approved by the Saudi Council of Ministers.

The Board also agreed on a sustainable national strategy for the Red Sea.

While detailed information on a sustainable national strategy for the Red Sea was not provided, Saudi Arabia announced in January 2020 that it had signed a contract to establish a council consisting of Arab and African countries neighboring the Red Sea.
