Ski season has started in the summer favorite city Antalya

The ski season started at Saklikent Ski Center which is built on the Beydaglari, in Antalya and is visited by millions of tourists every year.

Yesterday snowfall was effective at Saklikent Ski Center, which was established in Bakirlitepe location in 1971 under the leadership of the then Governor Huseyin Ogutcen.

Upon reaching the desired level of snow thickness, work was carried out on the tracks and offered to the service of ski lovers.

In Saklikent, where there are 4 tracks for beginners, intermediate levels, and professionals, ski lovers can ski and snowboard without interruption for 5 kilometers.

New type of coronavirus (Covid-19) measures have also been taken in the area, where all ski equipment was renewed by opening a new ski room, from the tracks to the ropes at the facility and the chair lift with an investment of ₺6 million.

“Snow thickness exceeded 30 centimeters”

Saklikent Ski Complex General Manager Hasan Sevindi said that the snow thickness exceeded 30 centimeters.

Expressing that the snow on the tracks was crushed with the vehicles and prepared for skiing, Sevindi said, “The snow came a little late this year. It is possible to ski on all four tracks. We are waiting for ski lovers. We hope to have a good season.”
