Shoes made in Tokat are exported to more than 50 countries

A shoe firm in Yesilyurt district of Tokat city exports to more than 50 countries. Boots and shoes produced by this firm are both domestically marketed and exported to countries including Germany, England, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Iraq.  

Burhan Yeter, the owner of the firm, said:

‘’Our firm has been active for 9 months and we don’t have an employee problem in Yesilyurt. We export to 50 countries. We produce 1200 pair of boots and shoes based on their models daily; we send 45 thousand pair of shoes monthly.

We are contented with the production; we trained our employees first. 63 personnel work for our firm right now. We will contribute to Yesilyurt economy 3.5 – 4 million liras annually; our goal is to stop the migration in our district.’’

Mehmet Suer, the foreman of the workplace said:

‘’ Our priority is to provide business opportunity for Yesilyurt people and I think we managed that. Labour demand is also great and we do not have any personnel problems.’’

Kadriye Ocbe, one of the workers said:

‘’ I have been working for this firm for 8 months and I contribute to domestic economy. We, workers are all satisfied.’’

Muhsin Yılmaz, Mayor of Yesilyurt district said that:

‘’ Forming trade circles in our district is one of our priorities. We invited the investors to our district. Our workers are all contented.’’
