Services Producer Price Index increased by 7.34% in June

The Services Producer Price Index (H-PPI) rose 7.34% on a monthly basis and 91.27% annually in June.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced the results of the “Service Producer Price Index” for the month of June.

Accordingly, H-PPI increased by 7.34% in June compared to the previous month, by 49.08% compared to December of the previous year, by 91.27% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 61.85 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.

Transportation and storage services increased by 119.32% annually

Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 119.32% in transportation and storage services, 84.21% in accommodation and food services, and 49.88% in information and communication services, real estate services increased by 144.11%, professional, scientific and technical services increased by 48.50%, administrative and support services increased by 66.52%.

Compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 9.11% in transportation and storage services, 10.81% in accommodation and food services, 3.69% in information and communication services, and 10.02 percent in real estate services, vocational, scientific and technical services increased by 0.90%, and administrative and support services increased by 6.00%.

Among the H-PPI sectors, scientific research and development services by 24.75%, legal and accounting services by 25.85%, and telecommunication services by 29.24% were the sub-sectors in which the indices increased the least. On the other hand, real estate services were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 144.11%, waterway transportation services by 138.54%, and air transportation services by 127.72%.

Among the H-PPI sectors, scientific research and development services by 7.58%, employment services by 1.24%, and building and landscaping services by 0.85% were the sub-sectors in which the indices decreased the most. On the other hand, accommodation services increased by 25.34%, travel agencies, tour operators, other reservation services and related services by 21.17%, and air transport services by 17.27% were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most.
