Jennifer Miel, Executive Director of the USA-Turkiye Business Council of the US Chamber of Commerce, stated that the USA and Turkiye are expected to hold many important trade and investment talks in Washington and Ankara in the coming months.

The intense diplomacy carried out by Turkiye at the NATO Leaders’ Summit and the positive results of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s meeting with USA President Joe Biden excited the Turkish and American business world. This situation also increased the expectations that the political momentum gained by Turkiye at the NATO Leaders’ Summit could be turned into a business and investment opportunity.

“The United States and Turkiye are expected to hold many important trade, investment and regulatory talks in Washington and Ankara in the coming months. With more high-level cooperation between the United States and Turkiye, these talks will yield results for both sides,” Miel said.

Miel stated that these talks will bring Turkish policymakers together with their USA counterparts to improve market access and deepen cooperation in the fields of digital commerce, energy and climate. He said that the private sector will contribute to these government talks and will come together to convey the impact of government regulations on the real economy.
