Sabiha Gokcen Airport offers an online shopping service to its passengers

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport provides its passengers with fast shopping opportunities before their flight with its new e-commerce platform shop@saw.

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, with its new e-commerce project called shop@saw, allows its passengers to purchase the product they want from the stores inside the terminal in advance.

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport (ISG), which has been saving time for its passengers with the digital transformation projects it has implemented since 2014, started 2021 with a new digital project. ISG has developed a new e-commerce platform called shop@saw to save pre-flight time for its passengers who want to shop from the stores inside the terminal.

Passengers traveling from Sabiha Gokcen Airport will be able to shop online by ordering the product they want, whether they are on the way to the airport or at the airport, via the shop@saw website.

There are many options on the shop@saw website, from food to souvenirs. Passengers who want to shop will be able to add the product they choose to the shopping cart after logging into the shop@saw website, then pay and complete the shopping and receive the purchased products from the stores of the relevant brand in the terminal.

Commenting on the new project, Malaysia Airports Group CEO Dato ‘Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh said, “As one of the world’s five largest airport operator groups, we want Sabiha Gokcen and all other airports to be ready for the future. The e-commerce platform we will present at Sabiha Gokcen Airport is a part of our larger-scale “Airports 4.0″ plan, where we use technology and digital developments to improve the passenger experience as a group. We must make sure we stay agile and up-to-date as we go through an era where consumers are changing rapidly. For this reason, launching our shop@saw e-commerce platform represents an important step in our digitalization journey.”

Saying, “As the aviation industry continues to recover, our new platform will also provide an opportunity for the airport stores to reach customers beyond their physical spaces.” Salleh stated that the application offers easy access to passengers while increasing efficiency in purchasing their products before the flight and that they also support the recovery of businesses affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, anyone who purchases ₺75 or more from the website thanks to the launch of the project will have the chance to win a 50% discount for the fee they will pay at the airport parking lot. In addition, within the framework of the launch, everyone who purchases ₺75 or more will have the chance to have their vehicles cleaned for ₺29 instead of ₺40 in the car wash area in the parking garage. Both campaigns will continue until February 14, 2021.
