Investor confidence in the Eurozone reached the highest level in 2 years

Sentix, a research firm based in Frankfurt that conducts market research, released the General Investor Confidence Index data for the Eurozone for April.

Accordingly, the General Investor Confidence Index for the Eurozone, which was minus 10.5 points in March, rose to minus 5.9. Expectations regarding the index, which reached its highest level since February 2022, were for it to increase to minus 8.5 points.

The Expectations Index, which measures investors’ expectations for the next 6 months, also rose from minus 2.3 points to 5 points, reaching its highest level since February 2022.

The Current Situation Index also increased from minus 18.5 points to minus 16.3 points, continuing its consecutive rise for the sixth month.

Sentix’s statement evaluated, “Economic recovery continues both in the Eurozone and globally. Economic indicators are gaining stability internationally.”

The survey was conducted with the participation of 1201 investors from April 4th to 6th.

German economy Meanwhile, the Sentix Investor Confidence Index for Germany, the largest economy in the Eurozone, rose to minus 20.5 points with an increase of 10.8 points in April. It is noteworthy that the index reached its highest value since May 2023. The Current Situation Index in Germany also increased from minus 40.5 points to minus 36 points.

In the Sentix statement, it was noted that despite the increase in investor confidence, the German economy “continues to be the relatively troubled child of major industrialized countries.”
